Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the demographic factors Influencing sleep quality among school students in Jordan. Specifically, the study examined the effects of (Birth order, Age group, Gender, Maternal employment status, and Family economic level. The instrument was developed to assess sleep quality. It was administered to a sample of 830 children from various directorates of education across Jordan. The results indicated that the overall sleep quality among the participants was high. Additionally, the findings showed that gender, birth order, and maternal employment status did not have a statistically significant effect on sleep quality, suggesting that these variables do not influence children’s sleep. However, significant differences in sleep quality were observed across age groups, favoring children aged 8–11 years. Based on these findings, the study recommends focusing on guidance programs for this age group to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining healthy sleep routines.
