Abstract
The current study aimed to examine the predictive ability of social support in academic adaptation among school students in Al-Zaatari refugee camp. The sample consisted of 569 male and female students from the upper basic education stage (eighth, ninth, and tenth grades), selected using a convenience sampling method. To achieve the study's objectives, the social support and academic adaptation scales were used. The results showed that the level of academic adaptation among the study sample was moderate, while the level of social support was high. Additionally, the findings revealed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the overall social support dimensions and academic adaptation levels. The social support dimensions collectively explained 39.70% of the variance in academic adaptation.
