About the JournalAbstract
The Internet is one of the most prominent modern technological developments that has changed the course of life in human society and has become available in every home, place of work or learning setting. This technology has many positive and negative impacts that pose challenges that must be faced. This paper deals with the concept of addiction in general and psychological and physical addiction in particular, with a focus on the concept of computer and Internet addiction. The paper also addresses the definition of indicators of computer and Internet addiction, methods of diagnosing it, causes, psychological and social effects resulting from it, and some prevention, treatment and public safety measures when dealing with cases of addiction among students and children.
